You won't listen to music while charging your phone if it doesn't have a 3.5mm port and only has one USB-C port. It might be feasible to listen to music while charging with a USB-C connector on one end and one 3.5mm port (or two USB-C ports) on the other, but every additional piece of equipment is a burden, and nobody likes that.
